Business Analyst: Business Process, and Internal Control Management - San Jose, CA

The business Analyst will work with the business users and IT staff and functional leaders to invoke standard business processes in finance and project accounting area through the implementation of our common Oracle ERP system. The Analyst will be helping in supporting and resolving the issues and providing guidance to users and developers.
Additionally he will ensure internal control compliance and interact with the peers and business users.
Job Duties:
Demonstrate advanced understanding of business processes, in functional areas such as Financials, Manufacturing, Projects, Procurement, Supply Chain, Order Management, HRMS and OTL.
- Proven expertise in Project accounting and billing and financials in R12
- Understand complex business and information technology management processes.
- Execute advanced services and supervise staff in delivering application support in offshore model.
- Assist in the selection and tailoring of approaches, methods and tools to support service offering or industry projects
- Identify and evaluate complex business in internal controls which mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement
- Demonstrate a general knowledge of market trends, competitor activities
- Actively participate in decision making with engagement management and seek to understand the broader impact of current decisions
- Generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo
- Build and nurture positive working relationships with internal clients with the intention to exceed client expectations
- Facilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services
- Identify opportunities to improve engagement profitability
- Participate in and actively support mentoring relationships within organization

Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in developing, implementing or architecting business information systems Oracle R11, R12
- 3+ year’s technical architecture experience in oracle development of reports, interfaces, customizations and extensions.
- Experience managing projects through the full system development lifecycle
- Through understanding SOX, Internal controls, access management and Segregation Of Duty
- Some experience with at least one of the following development environments/languages: PL/SQL* J2EE, Java, JavaScript,

Compensation & Benefits Manager - San Jose, CA

The Compensation and Benefits Manager develops, implements, and administrates compensation and benefits policies and programs. Audits job content and prepares job descriptions. Develops and/or participates in compensation/benefit surveys to analyze SunPower’s competitive position. Reviews proposed salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines and recommends corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems. Recommends company salary structure movements, salary increase budgets, and FLSA exemptions. Prepares special studies and makes recommendations on subjects such as incentive compensation, bonus plans, sales compensation or stock options. Administers and communicates the company’s benefits program plan options, features and enrollment requirements; assists employees with benefit claim administration inquiries. Analyzes cost containment strategies. Ensures company compliance with federal and state laws governing both compensation and benefits practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Works with managers to design and price underlying job architecture models and audits jobs for content. Prepares job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties and requirements.
•Develops and participates in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company's competitive position.
•Meets with business leaders to consult on alternate actions to compensation issues.
•Analyzes and models internal and external data is support of compensation and benefit proposals, including variable incentive compensation, sales compensation, executive, international, retirement and health and welfare plans.
•Formulates recommendations regarding development of company salary structure, FLSA exemptions, job revisions and organizational structures.
•Reviews existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommends appropriate courses of action.
•Prepares special studies and recommendations.

Qualifications

•Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
•Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.

Education and Experience

•Bachelor's degree required. Masters degree a plus.
•A minimum of 8 years of related compensation and/or benefit experience.
•Requires expert level excel and analytical skills, as well as knowledge of financial measures, legal and regulatory requirements.

SunPower Solar Panels VS Conventional Solar Panels - Nothing beats SunPower!

Maintenance Supervisor - Richmond, CA

The North American Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing SunPower’s North American Maintenance Group for commercial operations. Reporting to the Supervisor is a team of PV Technicians who perform scheduled and unscheduled fieldwork required to operate and maintain SunPower’s installed commercial base of photovoltaic power systems. PV technician fieldwork includes support for commissioning new systems, preventive maintenance site visits, corrective maintenance site visits, and system testing. The Supervisor position reports to the Director of North American Operations.

Travel is required for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•Responsible for implementation of an OSHA complaint safety program for PV Technician post commissioning work.
•Create and manage an annual maintenance group budget.
• Work with accounting to ensure invoices are created and paid by customers receiving service from the maintenance group.
•Using the SunPower work management system, ensure work is planned and scheduled to meet warrantee and service contract commitments/requirements.
•Develop, implement and report metrics for measuring Maintenance Group performance.
•Develop and implement maintenance group written processes and administrative/maintenance procedures.
•Ensuring PV technicians receive continuing technical training.
•Supervise a team of PV technicians and other positions as approved for the maintenance group.
•Establish contracts and manage contract technicians in geographic areas with insufficient business to justify a SunPower Regional Service Center.
•Establish and maintain spare parts inventories, tools and equipment needed to meet requirements for warrantee service and service contracts.
•Work with O&M Systems Engineering to perform trend analysis and corrective action for recurring PV systems equipment problems.
•Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

•Strong technical, supervisory, and project management/organizational skills.
•Proven ability to successfully procure, monitor, and assess subcontracted functions such as electrical contractors.
•Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
•Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization, as well as outside customers and vendors.
•Ability to work with minimal or no supervision with a customer service focus.
•Ability to work in high pressure situations.
•Organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

•Bachelors of Science degree in a technical major (construction management, physics, math, or engineering) and at least 2 years experience managing a military or industrial maintenance team. Or, 2 years of formal technical training with at least one year of electronics or medium/high voltage systems training, and 5 years experience managing a military or industrial maintenance team.
•2+ years experience maintaining and troubleshooting electronic and electrical power distribution systems similar or more complex than SunPower systems.
•1+ years contract and budget management experience preferred.
•Experience using computer work management and scheduling tools.
•Experience reading and interpreting electrical, I&C, and mechanical drawings and technical manuals.

Senior Manager, Technical Training - Richmond, CA

The Senior Manager, Technical Training will be responsible for planning, budgeting, coordinating, developing, promoting and evaluating the effectiveness of technical training curricula and courses for SunPower Systems group. The Senior Manager may also be responsible for conducting training for trainers identified as departmental subject matter experts in specific knowledge, skills or abilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•Design, plan and deliver a Technical Training Program & Roadmap including prioritized phased releases of curricula, coursework, instructions and certifications based on the requirements defined by each Systems department.

•Define, implement, and regularly review the roles, responsibilities, required qualifications and experience, policies and procedures relating to Technical Training staff, and oversee and manage department personnel, including any contractors or suppliers.

•Work closely and coordinate with the following groups:
oR&D and Product Management to capture product knowledge
oSystems Operations departments to capture priority role-specific knowledge, skills and abilities to include in Technical Training Program.
oQuality department to regular reviews quality goals and achievements, and recommend changes to achieve continual improvement. Review quality assurance inspection reporting and suggest changes to training content to address areas of deficiency.
oPower Plant O&M department to support the training of customers on technical subjects and develop related training bulletins or other technical documentation.
oHR and Systems Management to tie Technical Training Program certifications to KIs, individual acknowledgement and career development.

•Report on all training-related metrics and dashboards to continually monitor department compliance with established goals.

•Establish overall budget, and manage and report on the finances of the overall training program.

•Establish quarterly Key Initiatives with each Technical Training staff member and regularly review and score achievement to goals.

Education and Experience
Required
•Bachelors degree in physics, engineering, energy technologies, power control or related field.
•8 to 10 years of training experience with 3+ years in a technical field (e.g. design, engineering, field operations, project controls, project management, or plant operations & maintenance).
•5 to 7 years of management experience in designing, planning, delivering accredited technical training programs across multiple offices or regions.
•Superior communication skills – both written and oral and good listening skills.
•Superior organizational skills (prefer project management experience)
•Competence with Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
•Demonstrated experience in creating customer documentation, including application notes and product manuals.
•Strong customer focused attitude.
•Experience working with licensed contractors

Preferred
•Experience which demonstrates some appreciation of mechanical or electrical engineering principles.
•Experience planning, developing and executing technical training programs in the power plant industry.
•Experience in Training Within Industry (TWI) program.
•Experience with e-learning software and computer-based authoring tools.
•Degree in field related to Adult Education, Instructional Design or Educational Psychology.
•Experience in design, construction, solar installations or NABCEP certification.
•Experience with CAD or illustration software.

SCADA Engineer - Phoenix, AZ

The Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Engineer is responsible for the implementation of SunPower’s world class controls and monitoring systems. The role involves project evaluation, SCADA system design and review, sub-consultant oversight, and project management of SunPower’s Utility and Commercial SCADA systems. The SCADA Engineer position is part of the Design Services Group, which designs ground mount and rooftop photovoltaic power plants. The SCADA engineer will work with internal and external resources to generate full SCADA design packages, including detailed design documentation, construction drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and training materials. Candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of Power Systems and/or Industrial Automation control systems. Candidates will have strong design, communication, and creative problem solving skills.

•Develop, configure, and deploy SCADA software systems for PV power plants
•Creation of detailed SCADA design packages and review of consultant designs
•Coordination of sub-contractors, consultants, internal design teams, and construction crews

•Drafting and review of bid-packages, project schedules, and contract documents

The Design Engineer provides site evaluation, system design, and sub-consultant management services for SunPower's large-scale commercial projects as a part of the Design Engineering Group. The Design Engineering Group designs rooftop and ground mounted solar arrays, generating full sets of construction documents to support our in-house construction project management team. Candidates must demonstrate strong design, communication, and creative problem solving skills, and have excellent AutoCAD skills.
