The IT Project Manager will be responsible for driving all application development for Customer Applications at SunPower. This position reports to the Senior Manager, IT Customer Applications.
This position will interface closely with the functional business managers across our Global Business Units, including but not limited to Directors of Global Business Processes with the business Units. The IT PM will work closely with Global Processes Owners to understand the business requirements and then drive development and deployment of relevant supporting IT systems to achieve business goals

• Consult with Business Unit management to determine business goals and identify effective information systems and business process solutions to achieve these.
• Work with global process owners to ensure that relevant information systems serve the business needs effectively – including but not limited to CRM System, Business Intelligence System, Portals, etc.
• Build Client Relations: establish productive and reciprocal relationships, manage stakeholders.
• Partner with business analysts on needs analysis, business requirements doc, business process flow diagrams, cost benefit analysis, and business impact analysis.
• Define and Validate Project Scope: clarify project request and conduct needs analysis; identify project priorities, requirements and deliverables.
• Solution Proposal: technology evaluation, functional requirements document, mock-ups.
• Create Project Plan and Schedule: estimate work required to deliver end-product based on scope; validate and translate into tasks and duration.
• Assess Risk: identify risks to program success and create mitigation plans.
• Manage Project Delivery Process: drive project through methodology gates; track progress, identify, escalate, and resolve issues; recommend and ensure decisions.
• Specific Meeting Documentation: action/to-do lists, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes.
• Overall responsibility for SDLC documentation.
Necessary Skills
• Experience with Salesforce.com and Force.com platform. At least two successful project implementations.
• Project management process knowledge or certification.
• IT analysis / analytical thinking, decision making, planning & prioritization.
• Process Knowledge in sales and marketing. Supply chain helpful.

The Inverter Product Manager will have product management responsibility for the inverters and other electrical balance-of-system (BOS) products that SunPower offers to the residential and commercial PV markets.
